Seaweed is a food (yes, really!) that has been promoted to that of 'super-food' status over the past couple of years and its popularity has rocketed. Even seaweed spaghetti is a reality thanks to the recent ingenuity of Tesco. Now, food brand Atlantic Kitchen has launched a range of ready-to-eat seaweed soups. The soups are available in a range of three flavours: vibrant beets bowl with tender Wakame seaweed, super-greens minestrone with al dente sea spaghetti seaweed, and spicy tomato bisque with smoky Dulse seaweed. Packaged in 400g tubs, the soups have launched on Ocado with an introductory price of £3, which will later rise to the regular price of £3.99. Free from gluten, sugar and dairy, they have a shelf life of seven days. The meal soups are the first in a range of products from the brand, which sources organic, wild seaweed from the Atlantic coastlines of Europe.
