Victoria Sponge Muffin

The Victoria sponge is a British favourite, and so there was little doubt that it would feature somehow in the new M&S British range. However, the new M&S range has given traditional foods a quirky twist, and the Victoria sponge is no exception. Now it's been given it an American twist by turning it into a muffin. This is a clever idea if you're needing a mid-afternoon treat but don’t want to buy or eat a whole cake. It's just the right size! Needless to say, it's a light sponge filled with British raspberry jam and topped with buttercream.
