Recently the popularity of Minions has rocketed. You only have to take a wander through a supermarket, or any kids (or adults, for that matter) clothing shop to notice that these cute little figures adorn almost everything and anything. They even have tie-in deals with numerous brands such Soreen, which means that they're now on the packet of every malt loaf and banana bread, not to mention Capri-sun packets and celebration cakes.
They've recently joined forces with Tic Tac which has resulted in rather exciting limited edition banana flavoured Tic Tacs in boxes featuring different characters such as Bob or Kevin. Unfortunately, the banana taste is typical of cheap banana-ry sweets and lacks much authenticity. Therefore, this variety of Tic Tac lacks the refreshing and cleansing ability of Tic Tacs other varieties, although with a cheery minion grinning at you from the outside of the box, I doubt that you'll really care. This product has been released in some other countries, but in slightly different variations. Some varieties even feature little minion faces on each of the sweets and I know that in Australia the flavour is passionfruit rather than banana, which doesn't quite make sense because minions and bananas go together like cheese and pickle. I'm happy with banana. Let's hope that this sticks around for some time! Available in Poundland and some WH Smiths shops
