You would have thought that summer is hardly an appropriate time for the release of a new porridge product, let alone a whole range. But those clever guys at Kellogg's have considered the notoriously unreliable British climate and are prepared for the worst. One of their latest products is a Crunchy Nut version of a steaming bowl of comforting porridge; a blend of oats and crunchy nuts with a honey flavour. Available in packs of 6, £1.99 in Asda.
They've also gone and added to their Special K line-up, with a new range of 'Super Porridge'. As if normal porridge isn't super enough. This 'Super Porridge' implies that it has joined the ranks of the 'super food' tribe in a way that standard porridge hasn't, but the only thing that appears to be particularly more beneficial is the fact that it contains a mix of 5 grains rather than simply pure oats. Of course, oats make up a large portion, but they are joined by rye, barley, wholewheat and spelt. This new range has three variants: Apple, Blackcurrant & Pumpkin Seeds, Almond, Pecan Nuts & Sunflower Seeds and Raspberry, Pomegranate & Pumpkin Seeds. Available in packs of 5, £1.99 in Asda
