Limited Edition Nescafé Lattes

Starbucks is a little like a coffee-scented calendar. You don't need leaves or trees, because Starbucks does an excellent job of letting you know where you are in the year. For instance, right now, I know I'm in the thick of Halloween because Starbucks is selling the Pumpkin Spice Latte, but when the Christmas beverages come back on the menu, I'll know it's time to start thinking about buying gifts (panic) and feeling festive. According to the Countdown to Red Cups’ website, the date to mark in your diaries is Tuesday, November 3 so get your taste buds ready. But if you fancy a seasonal cuppa and don't want to leave your house, then Nescafé gives you a couple of options: comforting Gingerbread Latte or aromatic Mint Mocha with rich chocolatey undertones.
£2.99 for a box of 8 sachets (which is about the same price as 1 Starbucks seasonal latte), Tesco

The kit also includes chocolate drops to melt for dipping your lollies, and pots of coloured sugar strands and dark, milk and white chocolate coated cereal balls. Either eat there and then as a gooey fondue mess, or (if you can resist the temptation) leave to cool by putting the dipped ice creams in the fridge for original, jazzed-upped choc-ices.

Ben & Jerry's Cinnamon Buns Ice Cream

This is another of Ben & Jerry's seasonal offerings, although I'm not sure why it's so seasonal, because Cinnamon Buns are a treat worth celebrating all year round. This cool salute to cinnamon buns is sensationally cinnamon sweet, super cinnamon swirled & so deliriously dough-loaded, there's no telling where the cinnamon buns end or the caramel ice cream begins. You may think it couldn't get any sweeter, but it can! Because this fun flavour is also fairtrade certified - happy days!

Muller Corner: Raspberry Cheesecake Brownie

What a classic. An American classic! But I certainly don't mind if means both cheesecake AND brownie combined in a yogurt. The yogurt is cheesecake flavour and there's also a raspberry layer. There are BOTH digestive AND chocolate brownie pieces to mix in. It's almost as if the guys at Muller had an couldn't agree which classic American treat to put into their latest concoction. I like to imagine that they had punch-ups and slanging matches in the offices at Muller HQ, but nobody won and this is the result. We thank both the cheesecake guys and the brownie guys for their persistence.

Crosta & Mollica Street Pizza

Hot on the heels of the release of Dr Oetker's calzone pizza, Crosta & Mollica have launched a range of folded pizzas inspired by Italian street food. They're rather more sophisticated that Dr Oetker's calzone. In fact, they're a LOT more sophisticated; they're the proper Italian-style thin crispy pizza as opposed to the American style bread-like loaded pizza. The range has three flavours: Margherita, Americana (salami, mozzerella & tomato) and Tonno Rosso (tuna, tomato and red onion). Great for pizza-on-the-go!

Rice Pudding, but not as you know it!

Some like it hot. Some like it cold. Everyone likes it naughty. It's time to shake things up with the rice pudding revival. These rice pudding pots from Naughty but Rice are deliciously indulgent and certainly give Muller Rice a good run for their money.  Let's face it, you can't always be good. Both Muller Rice and this new brand share the salted caramel flavour, but you can also try refreshing coconut & raspberry or good old chocolate orange.

New Crisps and Snacks

While surfing the Ocado site a little while ago, I stumbled across a range of new crisps and products and thought that I should investigate. These are my findings....

Metcalfe's Popcorn Crisps
These popcorn crisp are the macho nacho cousin of Metcalfe's best-selling popcorn. Each and every popcorn crisp is flash griddled to ensure more crunch and flavour and less fat than a typical crisp. These popcorn crisps combine the crunch of crisps and the lightness of popcorn in one satisfying snack.
Available in original, sweet chilli and cheese.

Taking the Pea
Have you ever wished that peas came in your favourite crisp flavours? No, me neither. But apparently the guy behind this innovative new snack did. So we now have 'Taking the Pea', which are dried peas liberally seasoned available in 4 familiar flavours; Wacky Wasabi (of course), Smoked Ham, Sweet Chilli Salsa and Cheesy Peasy & Onion.
£1.50 for 40g, Ocado

Emporium of Tyrrells Tortillas
All hail the Emporium of Tyrrells, where extraordinary morsels are celebrated... like these unashamedly hexagonal corn tortillas. Double the sides; double the joy. Wonderfully punchy, six-sided chilli corn tortillas crafted with delightfully piquant, properly chopped jalapeño. An altogether edgier nibble. There are two variants; chilli with jalapeno and sour cream with poppy seeds. I like the originality of the latter.
Currently £1.09 from Ocado

Tabasco Popcorn
Like your popcorn to have a kick? Tabasco Sauce  pairs perfectly with savory snacks like Sweet Chili Cheese Popcorn or Sweet Chilli BBQ Popcorn.

Eat Natural 'Light & Lovely'

Good news for those who are watching their waistlines.... Eat Natural has finally realized the plight of dieters and released a lower-calorie option. They've called it 'light and lovely'. At the moment there's only one flavour, but I reckon there's potential for a whole range of light and lovely bars. The flavour is red apple and chia seeds and is available in a single bar from Boots, or as a four-bar multipack in Waitrose (£2.18).

Limited Edition Popchips

New to the range of healthy, air-popped crsisps are sea salt, garlic & rosemary and sea salt, caramelised onion & thyme . In both cases there certainly isn't any compromise on the flavour; they are well-balanced and very authentic. Both flavours are available in 85g sized sharing bags

Proper pops

Yes, these are yet another air 'popped' crisp. They're popped under pressure and don't go near a fryer, but that's not what makes these so great. These are revolutionary. They're made from casein, a slow-release protein derived from milk, so they're loaded with enough protein, calcium and fibre to make super foods pale in comparison. Plus they have almost 90% less fat than you're average crisp. And what's even better is that you don't have to go to a health food shop to get your hands on them; they're available from Sainsbury's (although currently only in the Lemongrass & Chilli flavour).
£1.50 for a small(ish) tub.

So naturally this latest drinking yogurt is blissfully smooth and creamy, but delightfully refreshing and full of both strawberry and pomegranate flavours because it contains real fruit compote.
