Sacla, the UK pesto brand, is launching three new recipe base sauces, bringing authentic Italian cuisine right into your kitchen! The three new recipe bases include Barolo, Cacciatora and Puttanesca and are available in 190g jars. By adding a little water to the recipe bases, these recipe bases become a sauce, whether it be for beef, chicken or fish.
The Barolo Recipe Base partners well with slow-cooked beef and is a reduction of full bodied Barolo wine, tomatoes, horseradish and mustard seeds.
The Cacciatora Recipe Base pairs with fillets of chicken and also boasts Italian wine, traditional soffritto as well as green and black olives. A soffritto is the foundation on which many Italian sauces and other dishes are formed.
The trio is completed with the Puttanesca Recipe Base, a tomato base with Leccino olives, capers, anchovies and balsamic vinegar and can be stirred through fillets of fish and pan cooked for 15 minutes.
