Soft Drinks part 2

Belvoir Cox Apple Presse

BE7531_Apple_Presse_75cl_Cox

What could welcome the new season better than a new sparkling apple pressé from Belvoir? Cox apples have been pressed to make this drink, but the sharp taste that's usually associated with such apples is tempered by the sweetness of grape juice, rather than any added sugar. But rest assured, it's not too sweet. Rather, it's refreshingly zingy for a delicious summery treat.

Red Bull Tropical

The new version of the Red Bull energy drink will be available in the UK sometime later this month. It has been incredibly popular in the US, Canada and Australia, so it's about time that it arrived on the UK supermarket shelves!

J20 Spritz

J20 have brought out a new line; the Spritz. You've guessed it! It's sparkling. But not over-poweringly fizzy, so it definitely doesn't risk falling into realms of Fanta or Tango. Instead, think Appletizer or Shloer. In the words of creators themselves, this "more sophisticated" drink is designed to be served chilled, in a Champagne flute. Fancy.

So, what are the new flavours, you ask? Pear & Raspberry, Apple & Watermelon (whooppp!) and Peach & Apricot.

J2O Spritz will be available in 275ml and 700ml bottles. So far I've seen the 700ml bottles in Sainsbury's for £2.50.

Cawston Press Vegetable Drinks

Cawston Press is introducing three new vegetable-and-fruit-drinks. The three new drinks - 'Sweet Greens', 'Sunshine Blend' and 'Radiant Roots' - will initially be sold at Tesco and can be found in the chilled cabinets.

Sweet Greens contains 39% apple, 30% iceberg lettuce, 8% pear, and 2% cucumber, lemon, water and garden mint extract. With these ingredients considered, it is not surprising that this is a very refreshing drink.

Sunshine Blend consists of 26% apple, 24% carrot, 21% orange, and 7% celery root juice, lemon and water. The taste of carrot gives way to a zingy orange, but with distinct notes of celery.

Radiant Roots has 47% apple, 24% carrot, and 8% beetroot, lemon, water and ginger extract. This has a rich, fruity flavour.

Each drink is available in 750ml cartons for £2.99.
