While
Starbucks went for that minimal, dare I say it, classy, Red Cup design, the
Costa Christmas cups have gone the other way and everyone’s loving it. Because Christmas is about Santa hats, over-indulgence and all the
bells and whistles, right?
Along with its festive cups – the robin and penguin
join Santa, Snowman, and Elf – Costa are doing three ridiculously
sexy sounding new hot drinks: Salted Caramel Cappuccino, Tiramisu Latte
and Caramel Fudge Hot Chocolate. They join old favourites, the Gingerbread and Cream Latte, the
White Hot Chocolate and the Black Forest Hot Chocolate.
Caramel Fudge Hot Chocolate is topped with a chocolate shimmer powder (that's new!) and a belgian chocolate lattice. Shimmer powder also dusts the top of the Salted Caramel Cappuccino.
On the festive food menu at Costa this year are a Salted Caramel Brownie and a Billionaire's Tart (see pictures) as well as an Orange & Cranberry Muffin, Sticky Toffee Mini Cake, White Chocolate & Passionfruit Snowball, Gingerbread Muffin and Cherry & Almond Log.
If you don't have a sweet tooth, then check out their Pigs in Blankets Panini, featuring British pork and onion sausage with Beechwood smoked British bacon, herby stuffing and cranberry sauce on a sourdough ciabatta.
Christmas has officially arrived!
