Toffee Apple Treats

If you can't get enough of toffee apples this Autumn, then take a look at these from chef-extraordinaire Heston Blumenthal. There's "nothing hidden about this warm, dark, rich sponge pudding with caramel fudge". And with a steaming glass of Toffee Apple Mulled Cider, you're cockles will be well and truly warmed!

Sponge Pudding is £12.00, Waitrose
Muller Cider is £4.99 for 750ml

On a similar note, here's Muller seasonal offering.... Apple Strudel flavour Muller Light with apple pieces. Gosh, those guys just keep 'em coming, don't they?!
Available in Sainsbury's and Waitrose

  1. There are restaurant reviews and Trip Adviser feedback, but chef's own brands in supermarkets go unchallenged. I take issue with most of Heston Blumenthal's Christmas offerings at Waitrose. These are standard fair, jazzed up - or rather adulterated - so that they carry a signature taste - synthetic, phenolic and unpalatable. The biggest culprit, in my book, is the Toffee Apple Cider. It's alcoholic, so isn't for the kids, who might actually like this hideous artificial flat liquid. Never before have I seen people, en mass, spit
out a beverage. We served this at a Christmas fair at my home. So embarrassed.

    1. Oh dear, that's terrible. I doubt you'll be trying his new Black Forest smoothie then?!
