Oh Aunt Bessie. How I
adore you, you nice woman, you. You've only gone and made some delectable
British puddings (best eaten HOT) in a format perfect for this blazing
heat wave! So now it's the middle of August, it's been one of the hottest days
of the year and I'm gorging on Jam Roly Poly with custard... and it's
goooood. The Jam Roly Poly mixes soft pieces of sponge with a fruity
raspberry sauce and custard-flavoured ice cream, while the Rhubarb
Crumble combines crunchy pieces of crumble with rhubarb, finished off with
a drizzle of tangy rhubarb sauce. But wait, that's not it. There's a third
flavour: Lemon Meringue Pie combines crunchy pieces of meringue and
shortbread with a drizzle of lemon curd sauce.
